Brendan McGuirl
Brendan is our project manager and metal fabricator. Brendan worked for six years as a stone fabricator before becoming a commercial construction project manager. He now spends as much time as possible working with his tools. In his construction career, he has managed over $60 million in construction projects for commercial, institutional, and government clients. These project management skills from his construction background are used to estimate, bid, fabricate, and install Ursa’s projects. His Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and international development experience with Engineers without Borders have lent a more holistic perspective to his project management practice, leading to better creative problem solving and improved project outcomes. He holds a degree in Construction Management from the University of Maine and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.

Jen Barrows
Jen is an interdisciplinary artist working in still and moving image, video performance, and sculpture. She has fabricated permanent large scale public art pieces valued up to $300,000 that are installed throughout the United States. Jen has experience designing and implementing research labs and instructional studios for post-secondary education on building projects ranging from $7 million to $130 million dollars. At Ursa, she consults on technology integration and public art design. She is an adjunct professor in Photography, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Video. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally. Jen has an MFA in Studio Art from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, at Tufts University.
Brian Glaser
Brian Christopher Glaser is an artist whose experience ranges from temporary public sculpture to fine art gallery installations and handling. Brian has an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He has been exhibited nationally in venues like the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in New York, 500X Gallery in Dallas, Texas, ArtSpace New Haven in New Haven, Connecticut, Boston City Hall, and the Mills Gallery at the Boston Center for the Arts in Boston. For seven years, he was the Managing Editor of Big Red & Shiny, a nonprofit arts organization and online art journal based in Boston. Currently, Brian is the Instructional Media Specialist for Sculpture and Digital Media in the Art Department and an Instructor in the College of Advanced and Professional Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is also the Adjunct Professor of Grant Writing and Arts Administration for the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Stonehill College, as well as a Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Studies at Lesley Art + Design.
